GHEE RICE

INGREDIENTS:
Basmati or Biriyani rice:1 cup
Onion-1 big (cut into thin slices)
Tomato-1 medium(cut into small cubes)
Ginger garlic paste-1 full tsp (heaped)
Ghee-1 tbsp
Oil-2 tbsp
Mint leaves&Coriander leaves-1/2 cup
Green chillies-3-4
Cardamom-2
Cloves-3
Cinnamon-1 inch
Salt-to taste
Water-2 cups in electric rice cooker
In pressure cooker use only 1 1/2 cup of water.

METHOD:
1.In a cooker,add oil&ghee and splutter cardamom,cloves&cinnamon.
2.To this, add ginger garlic paste and green chillies.
3.Add thinly sliced onion and saute well till slight golden brown.
4.Now add the tomato and mix well.
5.When its half cooked,add mint and coriander leaves.
6.Add salt to it.
7.Add water to it and let it boil
8.Wash the rice well and strain it.
9.When water boils,add rice and close the cooker.
10.Leave it for 3 whistles and open
11.Ghee rice is ready.
12.Serve it with raitha,any spicy gravies,curries and kurma.

Note:
If you are cooking in an electric rice cooker add the rice and masala that is done and add boiling water and cook it.
