VERMICELLI / SEMIYA KESARI


Ingredients:
Vermicelli / Semiya  - 1 Cup
Sugar-1 1/2 Cup
Water-3 Cups
Cardamom-2-3 nos
Cinnamon-1 small bit
Cloves- 1-2
Ghee&Oil mixed-1/2 Cup
Cashew- As needed
Raisins - As needed
Orange or Yellow food colour- a pinch

Method:
1.Add 2 tsp ghee in a wide pan and roast the vermicelli and keep it separately.

2.Add cashews and raisins and saute them till golden colour and keep it aside.

3.Add the balance ghee and oil and add cardamom,cloves,cinnamon and let it for sometime.
4.Pour water on hot ghee and let it boil.
5.Add food colour to it.


6.Add roasted vermicelli to it and let it cook till the vermicelli is well done.

7.Now add sugar to it and mix well till it is slightly thick.

8.Add the fried nuts and raisins and switch it off.
9.Serve it hot.

Note:
DO NOT ADD SUGAR UNTIL THE VERMICELLI IS SOFT AND FULLY COOKED.
IF YOU ADD SUGAR SOON ,THEN VERMICELLI WILL NOT COOK WELL.
